06 Days Chimps and Cultural Tour

Day 01: Arrival to Uganda

This day you will arrive to Uganda for your primates, birding and cultural safari. You will meet your safari guide at Entebbe international airport who will thereafter transfer you to a hotel in Entebbe/ Kampala for dinner and an overnight stay (Bed and Breakfast basis)

Day 02: Kampala to Kibale forest National park

This day you will your safari guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Kibale forest national park after your breakfast. This park is one of the well known safari destinations in Uganda blessed with the highest concentration of primates and is a home to the chimpanzees, man’s closest relatives. You will have a stopover at fort portal town for lunch and thereafter proceed to kibale forest. Upon arrival, your walking safari guide will be readily waiting to take you for a guided nature walk around the crater lakes. You will hike up to the top of the world, a point where you will be able to view the three crater lakes as well as the Rwenzori mountain ranges. Dinner and an overnight stay at Ndali lodge

Day 03: Chimpanzee habituation experience at Kibale forest

This day will be for chimpanzee habituation. After breakfast, your safari guide will transfer you to Kanyanchu tourist center. Here the ranger guides allocated to you will brief you before you proceed into the forest for the chimpanzee habituation experience. As you walk through the forest, there are higher chances for you to encounter other different animal and bird species here. Later in the evening, your dinner and an overnight stay will be at Ndali Lodge

Day 04: Morning Bigodi swamp walk and a local African lunch cuisine

This day you will go for birding and a guided swamp walk at the Bigodi wetlands sanctuary. This place has got a variety of bird species including the rare papyrus Gonolek that may be spotted. You may also encounter different primate species here especially different monkey species. In the afternoon, you will visit Tinka’s homestead, who will teach you how different African dishes are prepared, you will have an African lunch cuisine here. Your dinner and an overnight stay will be at Ndali lodge (Full Board)

Day 05: Morning birding in Fort portal and a visit to Mabere Ga Nyinamwiru

This morning you will visit the Toro botanical gardens located within fort portal. This place has got different bird species and offers a home to different bird species that may be spotted here. After the birding experience, you will have lunch in fort portal town before proceeding to visit the Mabere Ga nyina Mwiru. This site has got very rich and interesting cultural information that will make your safari more rewarding. You will return to Ndali lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Return to Kampala

You will prepare and be transferred back to Kampala
