Uganda commonly referred to as the Pearl of Africa is one of the best safari destinations blessed with abundance of wildlife, beautiful scenery and cultures. Day 01: Arrival and transfer
Upon arrival to Kampala, you will meet our safari guide who will thereafter transfer you to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Upon arrival you check in at Humura Resort Hotel for an overnight stay on Bed and Breakfast basis. You will need to have enough time to rest as you prepare for the adventurous rafting activity the nest day.
Day 02: White water rafting experience in Jinja
After breakfast, you will set off from Kampala to the source of the world’s longest river the Nile for a white water rafting experience. En route, you will pass via Mabira forest, one of the largest rain forests in Uganda and different places with beautiful tea and sugarcane plantations. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the rafting point at Nalubale for a full day experience that you will live to remember. Later in the evening, dinner and an overnight stay will be at the Haven Lodge Jinja (Full Board basis).
Day 03: Transfer to Ziwa for Rhino tracking experience
After breakfast, we will set off from jinja via Kampala to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. This is the only home to the Rhinos in the wild in Uganda and offers visitors an excellent Rhino tracking experience. Upon arrival, you will have an afternoon Rhino tracking experience. Later in the evening, dinner and an overnight stay will be at Amuka Safari Lodge (Full Board basis).
Day 04: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
This day you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. This is one of the largest parks in Uganda that offer visitors an excellent encounter with the wildlife. The beautiful park is blessed with beautiful scenery, wildlife and landscape. Upon arrival into the park, you will have a sunset game drive where you will encounter different animal species that reside in this park. Later in the evening, you will check in at Murchison River Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board basis).
Day 05: Game drives and boat cruise at Murchison Falls NP
After breakfast you will start your day with a morning game drive in the northern circuit of the park most famously the delta region with rolling plains where you may have sights of Giraffe, Lions, Elephant, Buffalo, as well as many of the other mammals of the park that include the baboons found near the ferry crossing points. In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. This is an experience not to be missed! The banks of the Nile are home to many species. You may see huge Nile Crocodiles, big Pools of Hippos and other wildlife that may come down to take water these include; the monitor lizards, buffaloes, elephants and many more. After the boat trip, you will start the top of the falls hike; you will hike up to the point where the Nile explodes violently forcing its self through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of about 150ft down producing a thunderous roar of white water amazing scenery! Dinner and overnight on full-board basis.
Day 06: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
You will be transferred to Kibale forest, the Park is deemed to be a home to the Chimpanzees and the only place in Uganda where you have 98% guarantee of viewing the chimps in the wild, this park also boasts the highest concentration of primates than any other park in the world. Upon arrival into the park, you will be transferred to Primates Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board basis).
Day 07: Chimpanzee habituation experience at Kibale Forest
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu tourist center for briefing before proceeding for chimpanzee habituation experience. There is a 98% chance of coming across these habituated chimpanzees. Aside from the Chimpanzees, the incredibly diverse forest is home to over 13 species of primates including the rare L’Hoest, red Colobus monkey, blue monkey, black faced vervet monkeys, grey mangabey, pottos, baboons and also bush babies. A network of shady forest trails provides much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders are in for a treat with about 335 species recorded including the endemic Prirogrine’s ground thrush. Later in the evening, dinner and overnight at Primates Lodge on full-board basis.
Day 08: Crater Lakes walk and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
This morning you will start your day with a hike to the crater lakes. Here you will pass via the tea and banana plantations, local villages and with the help of your local guide, you will be able to understand the lifestyle of the local communities. You will hike up to the point where you will clearly see the three crater lakes as well as the Rwenzori mountain ranges. You will later on be transferred to Bush lodge found in Uganda’s premier destination and it will be accessed from Northern crater Area. This is truly the most breathtaking scenery in the park with beautiful lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley.
Upon arrival, you will have a sunset game drive in the park before being transferred to Bush lodge for dinner and overnight stay (Full Board Basis).
Day 09: Game drives and boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth NP
We shall set off for an early morning game drive to catch up with early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. This morning, you are likely to meet elephants, grazing hippos, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, leopard, water bucks, stripped jackal and several warthogs plus Uganda kobs after, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxations. In the afternoon, you will go for a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos, crocodiles and animals such as elephants, buffaloes may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This boat cruise sometimes is referred to as the launch cruise which offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching with over 550 resident species, and game viewing, ideal for the Uganda safari. Return for dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Full board basis).
Day 10: Transfer to Ishasha, Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning we will set off to the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This woodland remote area is famous for the tree climbing lions. Upon arrival, you will check in at Enjojo Lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation, thereafter proceed for a sunset game drive later in the evening. Here you will encounter these tree climbing lions as well as other different animals and bird species in the park. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Enjojo Lodge (Full Board basis).
Day 11: Morning game drives and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP
This day you will have a morning game drive in search for the tree climbing lions, explo0re the park to its best as you encounter different animal species. You will return to the lodge for breakfast and preparations before being transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. This park is a home to over half of the worlds remaining population of the rare Mountain Gorillas, offering an excellent gorilla tracking experience. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Haven Lodge (Full Board basis).
Day 12: Gorilla tracking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast and well equipped with your packed lunch, you will be accompanied by your guide to the park headquarters for the briefing at 08:00hrs before you set off at 09:00hrs through the tracks in this impenetrable forest to search for the gentle giants. During the Gorilla tracking experience, you may encounter other animal species as well as different bird species. Once the Gorillas have been tracked, you will be given an hour to interact and take pictures of these giant and gentle Gorillas. Later in the evening time permitting, you will have a community tour to the Batwa communities before being transferred to Haven Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board).
Day 13: Second Gorilla tracking experience
After breakfast and well equipped with your packed lunch, you will be accompanied by your guide to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be allocated a different Gorilla family to track before you set off at 09:00hrs through the tracks in this impenetrable forest to search for the gentle giants. During the Gorilla tracking experience, you may encounter other animal species as well as different bird species. Once the Gorillas have been tracked, you will be given an hour to interact and take pictures of these giant and gentle Gorillas. Later in the evening, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay at Havel Lodge (Full Board basis).
Day 14: Transfer to Mgahinga for a hiking experience
After breakfast, you will prepare and thereafter be transferred for a hiking experience at Mount Gahinga. Here you will enjoy beautiful scenery and land scape as well as meet different animal and birding species while hiking. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Traveler’s Rest Kisoro for dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board basis).
Day 15: Golden Monkeys tracking experience
This morning you will set off with your safari guide to Mgahinga Gorilla National park for the Golden Monkeys tracking experience. You will be briefed by the ranger guides before setting off for the tracking experience where different animals and bird species may be encountered en route. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Traveler’s Rest Kisoro.
Day 16: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for afternoon canoe ride
You will set off from Kisoro after breakfast and be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes well known for its beautiful surrounding Islands. Upon arrival, you will have an afternoon canoe ride before declining for dinner and an overnight at Bird nest Lodge (Full Board basis).
Day 17: Morning walk and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
You will start this day with an early morning breakfast and a guided nature walk around Lake Bunyonyi before being transferred to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a stopover at Mbarara town for lunch before being transferred in to the park. Upon arrival, you will have a sunset game drive in the park. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Rwakobo Rock Lodge.
Day 18: Game drives and boat cruise at Lake Mburo NP
After breakfast, you will set off for a game drive in the park. Here you will encounter different animal species such as the Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elands and many more. You will return to the lodge for afternoon relaxation and lunch and later on have a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Here you will get closer to the hippos, crocodiles, different bird species as well as the local fisher men. Later in the evening, you will have a night game drive before having dinner and an overnight stay at Rwakobo Rock Lodge (Full Board basis).
Day 19: Morning Bush walk and afternoon sunset game drives
You will set off early in the morning for a guided nature walk in the park. You will get closer to different animal species; have a perfect opportunity to take as many pictures as possible. Later in the afternoon, you will have a sunset game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Rwakobo Rock Lodge.
Day 20: Transfer to Entebbe
This morning you will be transferred back to Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the Equator for photographs before proceeding to Entebbe for an overnight stay at Karibu Guest House (Bed and Breakfast basis). You will have enough rest as you prepare to finalize with your safari before setting off to your home country.
Day 21: Birding at Mabamba wetlands
After breakfast, your safari guide will transfer you to Mabamba wetlands for birding. Located in the shores of Lake Victoria, this place is a home to different bird species including the rare shoebill stork that can be encountered. Upon arrival, you will have a canoe ride for birding. Overnight stay will be at Karibu Guest House (bed and Breakfast).
Day 22: Preparation and transfer
After breakfast, you will prepare and thereafter be transferred to the airport for your international flight
