DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER
Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet our representative who will transfer you to Karibu Guest House for an overnight stay (Full Board).
DAY 2: FULL DAY RELAXATION AT KARIBU GUEST HOUSE.
You will remain at the Guest House relaxing for the whole day and meals shall be served at leisure. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Karibu Guest House (Full Board).
DAY 3: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will set off for Murchison fall National Park, Uganda’s largest conservation area by road passing through Kampala city and later traverse the famous Luwero triangle where lots of people lost their lives during the famous liberation war. En route to the Park, you will pass via Masindi town for another stopover to have lunch before you proceed to Murchison falls national park. You will be having dinner and overnight at Murchison River lodge (Full board).
DAY 4: GAME DRIVE, BOAT TRIP AND TOP OF THE FALLS HIKE
After breakfast you will start your day with a morning game drive in the northern circuit of the park most famously the delta region with rolling plains where you may have sights of Giraffe, Lions, Elephant, Buffalo, as well as many of the other mammals of the park that include the baboons found near the ferry crossing points. In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. This is an experience not to be missed! The banks of the Nile are home to many species. You may see huge Nile Crocodiles, big Pools of Hippos and other wildlife that may come down to take water these include; the monitor lizards, buffaloes, elephants and many more. After the boat trip, you will start the top of the falls hike; you will hike up to the point where the Nile explodes violently forcing its self through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of about 150ft down producing a thunderous roar of white water amazing scenery!.
Later in the evening, you will return to Murchison River lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board basis).
DAY 5: TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
You will be transferred to Kibale forest, the Park is deemed to be a home to the Chimpanzees and the only place in Uganda where you have 98% guarantee of viewing the chimps in the wild, this park also boasts the highest concentration of primates than any other park in the world. You will stopover at Fort Portal town for lunch before proceeding to chimpanzee Forest Guest House for dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board).
DAY 6: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AT KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu tourist center for briefing before tracking the chimpanzees at 08:00hrs. There is a 98% chance of coming across these habituated chimpanzees.
Aside from the Chimpanzees, the incredibly diverse forest is home to over 13 species of primates including the rare L’Hoest, red Colobus monkey, blue monkey, black faced vervet monkeys, grey mangabey, pottos, baboons and also bush babies. A network of shady forest trails provides much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders are in for a treat with about 335 species recorded including the endemic Prirogrine’s ground thrush. You will return for lunch and later in the afternoon, you will go for a swamp walk in the Bigodi Wetland where there are a variety of bird species including the rare Papyrus Gonolek and different primate species such as the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys and vervet monkeys. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House (Full Board).
DAY 7: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
You will be transferred to Bush lodge found in Uganda’s premier destination and it will be accessed from Northern crater Area. This is truly the most breathtaking scenery in the park with beautiful lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley. Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park in the world, from the open Savannah to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. The park harbors almost 100 species that include Buffaloes, Hippos, Leopard, Lions, Spotted Hyena and the elusive giant forest hog. There are over 606 species of birds found here including the black-rumped buttonquail, the martial eagle, Verreaux’s eagle owl and African skimmer to mention but a few.
Upon arrival, you will have a sunset game drive in the park before being transferred to Bush lodge for dinner and overnight stay (Full Board Basis).
DAY 8: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT TRIP IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
We shall set off for an early morning game drive to catch up with early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. This morning, you are likely to meet elephants, grazing hippos, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, leopard, water bucks, stripped jackal and several warthogs plus Uganda kobs after, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxations.
In the afternoon, you will go for a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos, crocodiles and animals such as elephants, buffaloes may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This boat cruise sometimes is referred to as the launch cruise which offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching with over 550 resident species, and game viewing, ideal for the Uganda safari. Return for dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Full board basis).
DAY 9: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
This day you will be transferred to Engangi lodge, Bwindi Impenetrable National park. This park is a home to over half of the world’s remaining population of the rare Mountain Gorillas, offering an excellent gorilla tracking experience. En route to Bwindi, you will pass via the Ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions. You may spot these lions lying on the tree branches as you proceed to Bwindi. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the Engangi lodge for dinner and overnight stay (full board).
DAY 10: GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast and well equipped with your packed lunch, you will be accompanied by your guide to the park headquarters for the briefing at 08:00hrs before you set off at 09:00hrs through the tracks in this impenetrable forest to search for the gentle giants. During the Gorilla tracking experience, you may encounter other animal species as well as different bird species. Once the Gorillas have been tracked, you will be given an hour to interact and take pictures of these giant and gentle Gorillas. Later in the evening, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay at Engangi lodge. (Full board)
DAY 11: TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will be transferred from Uganda to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park for an overnight stay at Gorilla Mountain View lodge. En route to Rwanda you will encounter new races of natives from those seen and interacted with in Uganda. While here, you will enjoy the serene environment of an eco-lodge of spacious cottages made of stone and thatch with a fireplace, en-suite facilities and a private veranda. Accommodation will be on full board basis.
DAY 12: GORILLA TRACKING
You will have breakfast, later escorted by the guide to the headquarters in Kinigi at the park entrance by 07:00hrs well equipped with parked lunch. At the headquarter, pre-tracking briefing by park officials and verification of the permit with passport details to prove ownership of the permit., before the ranger guide gives you tips on how to conduct yourself on this trek upon encountering the designated gorilla family, you shall have observe silence to enjoy the gorilla in the wildness. An experience with these Gorillas will make your safari a memorable one. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at Gorilla Mountain View lodge. (Full board)
DAY 13: TRANSFER TO COMORAN LODGE
You will be transferred to the lodge after breakfast. While here you will have a beautiful view of Lake Kivu Lake of turquoise blue, among the prestigious Africa providing a freshest breathe from lake its surrounding islands. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Comoran Lodge (Full Board).
DAY 14: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
You will be transferred to Nyungwe forest lodge nested in the Nyungwe National park. The home of numerous primates accustomed to human presence including the chimpanzees, black &white colobus, mangabey and unique plant species as orchids. It may also serve as a haven for birds a good destination for birders not forgetting water fall and canopy walkways. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Full Board)
DAY 15: STAY AT NYUNGWE FOREST LODGE
This day you will have enough time relaxing at the lodge, you may also participate in optional activities in the park (Payable directly). Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the Lodge on full board basis.
DAY 16: STAY AT NYUNGWE FOREST LODGE
After breakfast, you will have a lazy morning relaxing at your room. On this day you can choose to spend full day relaxing in the lodge or opt for optional activities in the lodge (Payable directly). Dinner and an overnight stay at the Lodge (Full Board).
DAY 17: TRANSFER TO KIGALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
After breakfast, on this day you will prepare and thereafter be transferred to Kigali International airport for your international flight.
